The days are fleeting...

It has been 11 days since the birth of our sweet Olive. Still tiny and brand new, yet it feels as if she has always been in our family. Her face has already changed so much since birth, gaining beauty by the day.

We are all so in love with our new addition, and not an hour goes by that someone isn't asking to hold her. The boys are constantly checking on her, and picking new outfits for her to wear. The boys are over the moon to have two baby sisters, after wishing for sisters for so long. They sure get a kick out of seeing the girls together.

We are coming up on a couple of birthdays at the end of this month, and then a few more next month. In 9 days our oldest child is turning 8. I look at him and still see that squishy little newborn, with the curly dark hair. I can still smell that gorgeous baby smell he had, and remember the little rolls he developed as an infant. He has grown into quite a smart, handsome young man. I could not be more proud of who he is turning out to be.

Another big birthday this month...miss Avery is turning ONE! A year ago today we were preparing to move into our new home, and I had no idea what was in store for us, just a week and a half later. I have not yet decided on how we will celebrate this glorious day, but I can't wait to celebrate our amazing girl. We still have not decided if we want to celebrate her birthday on the 28th, or on March 1st. Oh, the joys of a leap year baby!

Other than that, things have been pretty low key. We have pretty much gone back to our every day routine, and could not be happier!

  1. It's amazing how little Olive is next to Avery. And even Avery is still so petite!

  2. The children are all so beautiful. Tiny little Olive looks like a drop of love next to tiny little Avery. How do you normally celebrate the childrens birthdays ?

  3. So beautiful! Little olive looks like she is smiling in the picture th big brother :) and Avery looks like she may be gaining weight! Congratulations on your newest blessing!
